History of Ranthambore 


The first king of Ranthambore was named Sajraj Veer Singh Nagil and during his time this place had become quite developed. During the 17th century, the ground of Ranthambore Fort used to be a hunting ground for the Maharaja of Jaipur.


In 1957, this place was renamed as Wildlife Sanctuary. 'Project Tiger' was started in 1974, to protect the tiger. In 1981, it was renamed Ranthambore National Park.

Best time to visit Ranthambore National Park 


Ranthambore National Park is open to general public from 1st October to 31st June. The forest department gives a safari for people to roam in which about 20 people can sit. Safari timings also vary with the seasons.

It is available from 7 to 10:30 in the morning and from 2 to 6 in the evening. Meets from 6 to 9:30 in the morning and from 3 to 7 in the evening. So before going here, check carefully on the website once.


If the weather is very cold during the winter, then it is very important to take sweaters, jackets, mufflers, and even in summer, thin clothes do not bring relief to the body, so keep sunglasses, hats, water bottles.
